Discovery Partnerships with Academia is a new approach to early drug discovery.
The concept is simple but powerful: bring together the insight and creativity of the academic world with the drug discovery expertise of GSK to establish truly integrated partnerships that can translate innovative research into medicines that benefit patients.
Each project will operate as a joint team, with both partners working towards shared goals with open sharing of information. GSK will provide financial support for the project on a stepwise basis, and where a project leads to the successful launch of a medicine, financial rewards will be shared through royalty payments.
GSK has established a dedicated team of experienced drug discovery experts to run these collaborations, who will co-ordinate the application of GSK’s resources onto each project.
